Q: Lets share retarded American laws (you will laugh) i cant fit many in tho lol?
in the Lubbock County of Texas It is illegal to drive within an arm's length of alcohol - including alcohol in someone else's blood stream.
in Houston Texas Beer may not be purchased after midnight on a Sunday, but it may be purchased on Monday.
oh and in Texas a recently passed anticrime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.
Colorado Denver, You may not drive a black car on Sundays
It is illegal to mistreat rats in Denver, Colorado
Colorado Logan County it is illegal for a man to kiss a woman while she is asleep
Honolulu Hawaii, within the limits of any public park, it is unlawful to annoy any bird. (SEC. 10-1.2)
in Virginia It is illegal to tickle women
in Norfolk Virginia Spitting on a sea gull is not tolerated
in Idaho You may not fish on a camel's back
In tennessee It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish
A: There is actually a whole book full of these laws that we have that anyone can purchase.
The thing that people don't realize who are not from the U.S., is that these laws are always overlooked and 95% of the time not even enforced.
So if you were to say, tickle a woman in Viginia, and she called the police.......the police would laugh at you and tell you not to waste their time. And yes, I'm serious.
Ever been to Denver?........lots of people have black cars their......and they even drive them on Sunday's!
They also have exterminators to get rid of rats there too!
Not sure how those laws ever came into effect, but they are vitually "invisible law" that nobody abides by, and no one enforces.

Q: My car skips some at certain speeds.?
Hello! I made a trip from Lubbock to Houston (about 600 miles) a few weeks ago. The trip down went very smoothly, but about 400 miles into the trip back I noticed the car was skipping some. I'm having to make the trip again in a few hours because my mom was put into the hospital. Can anyone help me determine if my car is ok to drive?
I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with how a car skips (or hiccups) when you're about to run out of gas but it was a similar feeling. It only did it between 60-65 mph and it would stop if I let up off the gas.
The conditions for this happening were: The winds were blowing EXTREMELY hard, I'm not sure if wind could cause your car to feel like its skipping... Also, I had just put two new tires on my car. The only tires I replaced were the front two, the back two are different tires. Could this cause it to skip? If so, why did it only skip the last 200 miles of the trip?
I haven't noticed any type of skipping at all since I got home, but I also haven't traveled much... I only go like 10-15 miles at a time when I'm home. Also, the oil light kept coming on and off. I'm not sure why though because I just had the oil changed before the trip.
Please help me out... I really need to make this trip but I'm not sure if the car is ok or not. The car is a 1999 Chevy Cavalier. HOWEVER, it has a brand new transmission, radiator, and new head gaskets. It's an older car, but I've replaced just about everything in it over the past 6 months.
Thanks!
A: Your car may have an electronic speed "governor" or "regulator" that overrides your acceleration input (pressing the gas peddle) at a predetermined speed.
I had a 1996 Buick Regal that did something similar to your description.
Try to ask your dealership or research your car online to see if that is something your car might have.
The only way to describe the way my car acted is just like you said it seemed to have run out of gas or was going to die/turn off. Every time I got it to around 75mph. Then when it dropped to a significantly lower speed I could accelerate again and everything was back to normal.
Maybe that is your cars only "problem", but I never noticed any warning lights coming on in my similar circumstances...
Q: If my car's ben abandond by some1 I thought was a friend, how can I find out?
I let someone borrow my car over 2 weeks ago. I, of course, regret doing so now but, needless to say, I want my car back. Recently, he told someone that he was going to Lubbock via Greyhound/or some other bus line. If he parkd t/ car & left it, is it possible to find out where it's at at this time? What happens to cars left in parking lots? Thanks for your insight in advance!
Thank you ladies, I've done exactly what you've stated but i'm lookin for a way to see if my car is out there somewhere all by itself & lonely. Do you follow?
well, biged, I did that already. i've done everything i could do about talkin to him but he won't answer his phone, i've filed t/ police report but could my car still be sitting somewhere abandoned & noone realizes it yet?
A: The failure to return it may constitute theft, tell him you are calling the police and report it as a theft and have him arrested if it is not returned.
Q: hey guys can you help me with 3 math problems? they're in the description?!?
1.) Albert left Westcliffe on his bicycle riding at an average rate of 10 miles per hour three hours before his son left by automobile. The son overtook Albert in exactly 30 minutes. At what average rate was Albert's son traveling?
2.) Sue left camp on her bike at 2 P.M and rode at an average rate of 8 miles per hour. Tom left camp in his van at 3:30P.M and overtook Sue in 15 minutes. At what average rate was he traveling in the van?
3.)Marilyn drove her car from Lubbock to Houston at an average rate of 48 miles per hour and returned over icy roads averaging only 28 miles per hour. Find the time going and returning if the time returning was 5 hours more than the time going.
A: 1) Albert began riding 3h before his son with v = 10mi/h
then they met after 1/2h.
let the total distance be x.
the distance passed by Albert after 3h = x - (3 * 10) = x - 30
so 10 = (x - 30) / 0.5 = 2(x - 30)
so 2x -60 = 10 ---------> x = 35 miles
so the speed of his son would be x / (0.5) = 2x = 70 miles/h
Q: velocity question?
If a person traveled by car from Lubbock to Midland to San Angelo and back to Lubbock what was the average velocity?
1. 0 because the net displacement is 0
2. 70 mph, because that is the legal speed limit
3. 112.7 km/hr, the legal speed limit in km/hr
4. There is not enough information given.
A: 4 Not enough information
just because he went from Lubbock and eventually ended up back in Lubbock, does not mean he started and stopped at the same address in Lubbock.
There is no way to know that he averaged the legal limit, there are stop lights, traffic and such where he has to slow down or stop than accelerate up to speed. That means on the highway he would have to be going considerably faster than 70 MPH or 112.7km/hr to compensate. To finish the trip at exactly the maximum average velocity would be very difficult to achieve.
The only conclusion that is most correct is that more information is needed
Q: Can any one help me?
Marilyn drove her car from Lubbock to Houston at an average rate of 48 miles per hour and returned over icy roads averaging only 28 miles per hour. Find the time going and returning if the time returning was 5 hours more than the time going.
A: They need to tell you the distance between Lubbock and Houston or you need to find it yourself using mapquest or something.
To find the time remember that speed is in unil of miles/hour so if you divide the distance travelled by the appropriate speed you'll have unit of miles divided by miles/hour which gives you miles time hour / miles (the miles cancel out and you have hour left).
Q: You need a job ? i need some one to work for me washing car want to help about 30hr a month for 500$? lubbock?
A: is this a scam?
Q: please help me with this question on average velocity?
If a person traveled by car from Lubbock to Midland to San Angelo and back to Lubbock what was the average velocity?
0 because the net displacement is 0
70 mph, because that is the legal speed limit
112.7 km/hr, the legal speed limit in km/hr
There is not enough information given
A: 0 is the answer
because for velocity we are concern with the displacement since the person returns back to starting point displacement = 0 so velocity = 0 :)
hope it helps :)
hehe

Q: Who regulates the fast oil change places in lubbock texas?
I AM CONCERNED THAT ALL THESE FAST OIL CHANGE PLACES DO NOT USE THE SPECIFIC OIL CALLED FOR. I RECENTLY PUT MY CAR IN THE SHOP AND THEY ASKED ME HOW LONG IT HAD BEEN SINCE I HAD AN OIL CHANGE. (IT HAD ONLY BEEN 1 WEEK) MY CAR USES FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL (OR I THOUGHT IT WAS USING THAT, I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR THAT) HE TOLD ME THAT MY OIL WAS VERY DIRTY AND IT THERE WAS NO WAY THEY USED FULLY SYNTHETIC. NOW , WHO AM I TO TRUST AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT UNDERCOVERING THE REAL TRUTH IN THIS SAGA?
A: First, when I go to an oil change place, I put the cheap stuff in my old truck so I could care less what brand or type they put it. So, when I am there, I sit back and read the paper or watch t.v. The lousiest grade they have there has got to be better than what is left in my engine. The cheaper the better.
Now, if I was paying $10, $20, or more extra to have synthetic added (normally from a bottle instead of the bulk tank), then I would watch to insure that they were doing it. For $10 a quart, I want them to treat me like a fine wine connoisseur. They should pour it in a glass and let me take a whiff as I swirl it around, smelling the bouquet. Not only could someone cheat you out of the synthetic, it could just be a mistake on the outside person putting the wrong oil in. Not a lot, but mistakes do occur.
Now that you suspect that they have made a mistake or are cheating you, you should go back and investigate for yourself if you see people paying for synthetic, are they truly getting it? See if you can find someone that you know that uses the same place and also uses synthetic. Go with them and watch closely. If they are dishonest, demand that they change your oil correctly this time and watch them like a hawk. Then, if you have seen lots of evidence of fraud, report them to the BBB.
Good Luck
