Q: Isn't it about time that this came out? Some Jehovah's Witnesses want more than to leave a Watchtower.
Towns where Alleged Jehovah's Witness Child molesters have been reported to silentlambs Home Listed by each state If you would to add a new listing contact silentlambs at info@silentlambs.org The list below is designed to alert you to a possible danger in your community. Over the course of the last four years silentlambs has been a repository of reports on alleged Jehovah's Witness child molesters. Victims have reported extensively on times, dates and places abuse occurred. We have wrestled with how to alert the public as well as members that may be in congregations where abusers have been reported. We offer the following suggestions if you as a Jehovah's Witness are in a town/congregation where a report has been made. Do not allow your children to be alone with anyone in the congregation. Escort your children to the bathroom during meetings and make sure no else is with them when using facilities. Never allow your children to be alone in the car with anyone while in field service. Do not allow any member to study with your child alone. Avoid camping trips in which children go as a group with one or two adults. Avoid baby sitters that are adult males. At a get together watch your children and keep them in sight at all times. Ask elders directly if they know of any abusers in your congregation, use specific names and note their reaction. They will not tell you directly but indirectly you can often figure out who it is. If one elder is less cooperative talk to another till you find out enough information to know the facts. Check the local sex offender list in your area, type in the name of every person in your congregation to see if any are listed. Notice any male member of the congregation that does not have privileges such as microphone or other duties around the congregation, especially if for a long period of time. They can offer talks on the TMS or sermons Service Meeting but are not allowed to conduct meetings. (This is only in case of a confessed child molester) Note any member of the congregation that has children with sever rebellion or emotional problems. Do not allow your children to have sleepovers with anyone. Note members that the elders avoid having around their children. If you are a member of the public and your community is on the list take the following steps to protect your family. If Jehovah's Witnesses call at your home never allow them in your home If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call at your home purchase a no trespassing sign and place it near your door. JW's are instructing to only respect "no trespassing" signs any other variation will be ignored. If you do not wish Jehovah's Witnesses to call you can also call the local number and ask to be placed on the "do not call" list. They will note your home and check about once a year to make sure you wish to remain on the list. If you choose to study with Jehovah's Witnesses do so at a neutral location such as the local Kingdom Hall or in a public place. Never allow your child to be alone with members or their children. If you choose to attend meetings with Jehovah's Witnesses then we suggest you follow the guidelines above for members. Remember that most members are not aware of who the molesters are in their congregation according to church policy. They do not know. If two Jehovah's Witnesses call at your door one could be a child molester. According to church guidelines all confessed child molesters are required to have a partner when going door to door. If two Jehovah's Witnesses appear at your door you might wish to ask if one or both are child molesters for peace of mind. Of course keep in mind if the person is an accused child molester they are allowed to work alone in the door to door work. We hope this information is helpful and assists with the ultimate goal of silentlambs, protecting children. Check back as the list is updated on a regular basis. Q: What do say now Illegal immigrant made fake ID for terrorist?
Please do not answer if reading is an issue for you..From@http://www.western-star.com/news/content/oh/story/news/local/2007/06/29/mj062907illegals.html MIDDLETOWN — An "admitted illegal alien from Mexico" was arrested Wednesday for producing a half-dozen fake identification, Social Security and permanent residency cards and selling them to undercover police officers, the Butler County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. Abel Gaston Gudino-Arenas, 33, of Middletown, was charged with six counts of forgery — a fifth-degree felony — and no operator's license — a misdemeanor — for manufacturing fake documents, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. Deputies said the man admitted to manufacturing the cards for more than three months. Gudino-Arenas was arrested after he allegedly delivered a fake ID to undercover officers for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed of Pakistan, the self-proclaimed mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. According to the news release, officers asked Gudino-Arenas to produce the ID for Mohammed "in an attempt to see how far (he) was willing to go." Deputies also found marked money on him and in his car, the release stated. Gudino-Arenas is being held in Butler County Jail on a holder from Immigration and Customs Enforcement and faces possible deportation, said Butler County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Monte Mayer. Prior to his arrest, undercover officers had purchased two Kentucky ID cards, two Social Security cards and two permanent resident cards, the release stated. A search of his house by deputies and Middletown police turned up more than 330 blank identification cards, $540, three cell phones, two laptop computers, two printers, a scanner, a laminating machine and paper used for making Social Security cards, the release stated. Why dosn Congress pass a law that being in possession of a false or counterfeit Identification is subject to immediate deportation. I mean on a plane that night back to wherever the hell they came from. No going home to pack your bags, not phoning the wife, no anything, just get caught and get shipped.

A: The charge should be more than a fifth degree felony. Was this person an Illegal? Regardless, he should be imprisoned for a few years in a maximum security facility, then deported deep into the heart of some far away foreign land, like the jungles of Africa. Let him find his own way home from there.

Q: Legal Question?
What sentance would you give this person? THE CASE: On a November evening at about 11:45 p.m., Leighe was driving his car on a street in Middletown, Ontario. Earlier that evening, he had a big meal and had been drinking wine. It was a cold night and the windshield on Leighe's car was frosted over making visibility difficult. At the same time, Mr. Hall was coming along the same road, ahead of Leighe on his bicycle. The bicycle had front and rear lights that were working properly. Leighe ran into Mr. Hall with his car from behind. The collision severely damaged the front end of the car. Leighe was very frightened and he drove away immediately from the scene of the accident. Mr. Hall was killed instantly. Leighe drove his car home and hid it at the back of his property. Four days later, Leighe spoke to his lawyer. The next day, a Saturday, Leighe's lawyer contacted the police and told them that his client would be turning himself in on Monday, but did not identify his client. In the meantime, after an intensive forensic investigation, the police searched Leighe's property with a warrant, found the car, and arrested Leighe for criminal negligence causing death on Sunday. Leighe pleaded guilty and co-operated fully with the authorities during his arrest and period of release. He had no criminal record prior to his release and his driving record included two speeding tickets obtained more than 10 years previous. Leighe is the sales manager for a large company. He is a 37 year old married father of two children under the age of 5. His wife has a serious illness that does not currently allow her to keep a regular job. He was driving home from a charity dinner in support of the illness afflicting his wife on the night of the accident. Leighe admitted to the court that he has been experiencing problems controlling his drinking since his wife has been seriously ill. The maximum penalty for criminal negligence causing death is life imprisonment.

A: He probably wouldn't get jailed, but I don't know American Law. You;ve got so many factors at play here and while I don't know the authorities in your country a problem question is a problem question. They are always riddled with red herrings and points you need to pick up on. Theres so many factors here which all act in his favour. Ha, If I was defending Mr Leigh, I would get him off and bring a counter claim against Mr Halls family for damages of his car. lol. The dependant people, his wife and children are big factors. Then you have the point that he contacted his Lawyer (does this matter in your state). Frosting of the Windshield (probably very minor since he would no doubt be negligent in not exercising due diligence in removing the frost in the first place). How much wine had he been drinking? This is the point which the beginning of the arguement would focus on. Because it can mean the difference between recklessness and/or negligence. Theres obviously points which go against him.

Q: I need help.... sooo bad.... thanks!?
1.A truck traveling at a constant rate of 45 miles per hour leaves Middletown. One hour later a car traveling at a constant rate of 60 miles per hour also leaves Middletown traveling in the same direction on the same highway. How long will it take for the car to catch up to the truck, if both vehicles continue in the same direction on the highway? 2.Ben had twice as many nickels as dimes. Altogether, Ben had $4.20. How many nickels and how many dimes did Ben have? 3.Vincent has cut three pieces of rope to complete a science project. Two pieces are of equal length. The third piece is one-quarter the length of each of the others. He cut the three pieces from a rope 54 meters long without any rope left over. Find the number of meters in each piece.

A: [1] the formula d=rt means distance travelled equals rate of speed multiply time the trucks distance 45(t) the cars distance 60(t-1) since it started one hour later. the car catches the truck when they have traveled the same distance so 45 t = 60(t-1) solve for time (t) [2] n is nickels and d is dimes n = 2d and 5n + 10d = 420 for money value substitute for n in second equation and get 5(2d) + 10d = 420 solve this for dimes (d) and finish [3] x is length of each of the two pieces that are equal length x + x + (1/4)x = 54 solve this

Q: I need help with these! thanks!?

A: 1) t = time 45t = 60 (t-1) 45t = 60t -60 -15t = -60 t = 4 because t -1 = car, the answer is 3. 2) n = amount in nickels, 2n= amount in dimes 2(n) + 2n = 4.2 4n = 4.2 n = $1.05, n x 2 = $2.10 in nickels or 42 nickels 2n = $2.10 or 21 dimes 3) L = length L + L + (1/4)L = 54 2(1/4)L = 54 (9/4)L = 54 L = 24 the lengths are 24m, 24m, 6m Hope that helps.

Q: best means of transporation from maryland/delaware to new york?
i do the trip from the eastern shore of md/de area to the chester/goshen/middletown/monroe area rather frequently, but my car isn't reliable enough for the haul at the moment. are there options other than greyhound, or amtrak? how much would it cost for a cab or to hire a driver? it'd be just shy of a four hour drive... 200'sh miles. all reasonable suggestions would be greatly appreciated. unfortunately, amtrak doesn't run lines through dover anymore. the lines are just used for ag. and freight transport. thanks for the responses. any more would be great, thanks.

A: Take the train....AMTRAK

Q: Any tips on how to possibly beat a speeding ticket given in Connecticut? I.?
I was driving a company car and rushing to a job site with a problem on Sunday am on Rt.9. Was pulled over at 94 mph in a 65 mph. Was given a ticket for speeding at 85mph.I would gladly pay the money to a Victims' fund or something, I just do not want this to go on my record in MVD. I could loose my job over this ticket. I do have a clean driving record as of now.How could get this not prosecuted? Is there a way to get this moved to a different Court(in a different town)? Here in Middletown they do not accept a charity payment instead of paying the fine, one town over(where I actually live) they do. Please help,I am desperate for an advice (I can't afford a lawyer). Thank you,T.

A: traffic school? i know thats offered in indiana for your first offence, but if you go to court to argue the ticket, first look on the police sign-in list to see if the officer that pulled you over has signed in, because if he isnt there, then you automaticly win... secondly, if you go and argue, try to bring up things about the event to see if he even remembers your case, if he doesnt even rember you, how can they convict you? good luck

Q: I'm trying to get from Brooklyn, NY to Middletown, CT on public transportation. Suggestions how?
I'm taking the F train, in the city, to Grand Central Station. From there i'm taking the Metro North to New Haven, CT. Does anyone know a bus route or another train up to Middletown? Or does anyone know a better route? I don't have a car anymore and a cab al the way up there is very very pricy so... any suggestions.

A: When you get to New Haven, you can get the 42X bus right from New Haven Union Station. The next stop on this bus is the Park And Ride In Middletown. You can even take it all the way to Hartford.

Q: How to get from Middletown, NY to Albany NY through public transportation?
I'm trying to get back to school in Albany by tomorrow, and I'm having some car problems so I was going to take a bus...but the nearest bus station that seems to go to Albany is in New Paltz, and they don't really have the best times, so I was looking for other options, but I'm not really savvy with the whole train bus thing. Does anyone know any other options?

A: My friend, the best thing I can tell you is take NJ Transit Port Jervis Line from Middletown to Suffern. Once there transfer to the Tappan ZEExpress bus. Take TZX bus from Suffern to Tarrytown, where you can then transfer to Metro-North's Hudson Line. Take the Hudson Line, northbound from Tarrytown to Poughkeepsie. Once there you can transfer to Amtrak's Empire service to Albany. I hope this information is very helpful. If this route isn't sufficient for you, just drop me a line, by click on the avatar and the e-mail icon, and I'll be glad to help you farther Good luck Native New Yorker

Q: Going from Brooklyn NY to Middletown CT without a car. How?
Going from Brooklyn NY to Middletown CT without a car how? Or from New Haven CT to Middletown CT, how?

A: Easiest thing would be to take Peter Pan or Greyhound from Port Authority directly to Middletown, CT. It's about $40 one way. It's about 3.5 - 4 hours. If you don't want to do that, you can take Metro North to New Haven (Union Station) then transfer there to a Greyhound bus to Middletown (the bus is about $12 and a 40 min ride). I guess that would be more annoying because you'd need to time everything right so that you get to New Haven in time to get the bus since I think there is only one per day to Middletown. Even that way, it's still not going to take any less than 3hrs but you save $10-15.
