Q: How's the weather where you are?
It's 66 in Peoria, IL, and Im thinkin about washing my car...
What are you doin today to enjoy your weather?
A: It is a beautiful day, 74 degrees and sunny, when my kids get home from school we will spend some time in the backyard.
Q: is there a punishment to fit this crime?
i don't think there are any punishments severe enough for these parents.. please see partiual article below..
There should be a special place in hell for these parents
Their 5-month-old baby died after being strapped into a car seat for eight days without getting food or water. Meanwhile, the parents played videogames and watched TV. Warning: this story will be tough to read for some. (Peoria Journal Star || Mug shots)
A: Yes, I just posted a question about this about half an hour ago. it is DISGUSTING and the parents ought to be forced to do hard physical labor for decades and then die a slow, painful death.
Q: can i get out of my second DUI?
I recieved a dui about a month ago for marijuana. i have yet gone to court for that one, but before i got my second one my lawyer had soemthing worked out for it. He said i would be on court supervision for a yr and then it will be off my record. But on friday i went to pick my friend up from the bar and a cop stoped me for no front liscense plate and illegal (whitish blue) turn signals. He immideatly thoguht i was drunk before i said more that 5 words which i wasn't. I had a friend in the car who was 19, the same age as me who was wasted and the cop gave her a drinking ticket, and me a DUI! is there anyway to get out of this dui...i wasnt drinking that night but i didn't blow? and does anyone know of a good lawyer in the Galesburg/peoria/macomb Illinois area?
A: Talk to your lawyer. Any other answer would be completely wrong.
Q: Adding a sun roof to a 95 dodge intrepid?
I have a 95 dodge intrepid.. I am wanting to add a sunroof.. About how much would this cost me? And where would something like this be done around Pekin, or Peoria Illinois?
If this helps, it is a 3.5 liter, 24 valve, 6 cylinder... Car is white....
A: A major upholstery shop should be able to do it, however, it's a lot of money to spend on a car thats almost 14 years old.
Q: I'd like to know what you think of the two issues mentioned in the e-mail below to my local congressman?
Dear Mr. Renzi,
I've just copied you on an e-mail about HB2129 - text messaging while driving an AZ state law to be voted on again in the next session. I have a different matter to discuss with you but it does correlate to this issue. My fiance, Stacy Stubbs, was killed in Peoria just over a month ago in a car accident in which the teenage driver was texting while driving ( http://www.dcourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=109&SubSectionID=389&ArticleID=47266).
I'm working with state legislatures on that issue. My issue with you involves Social Security and death benefits. Ten years ago Stacy had and recovered from cervical cancer. This made her ineligible for life insurance. Of course you know the feeble amount that the Federal Government allots is not even enough to pay for flowers.
I would like to see a bill adding a one dollar payroll tax per week for a $10,000 life insurance policy for all who don't qualify or who simply think they can't afford life insurance.
Even for the poorest of people $52.00 a year is worth what it will save their relatives in the future. Stacy's father is coming here this weekend from NJ to pick up her car and sell it to pay for her funeral. The only thing of real value she left me...
I believe this bill or a variation of would help enormous amounts of people and cost American taxpayers very little.
I hope to hear from you soon so we can arrange a convenient time to discuss it further.
Thank you.
Any of you out there who agree please contact your local representatives!

Note: Thedude - I agree. Cutting somewhere else to get the money would be fine with me just so long as it gets done.
Note: Will smells - Thank you... I don't care where the money comes from, it's a viable solution that can be funded in many differnt ways. Anyone who does agree please write to your local legislatures!
A: Firstly- my sincere condolences.
Secondly- I think it would be better to tax the over-privileged rather than the bulk of Americans. However- the money wasted within State or Federal any bureacracy could easily fund this initiative.
I fully support your position- surely dignity in death is not only for the rich.

Q: Which is the best place for learning to drive a car, safe and non traffic area in peoria,IL,USA?
I have learner's permit .
A: For very very beginning driving...my grandfather used to take me to school parking lots just to get used to how the car handled, how to break, and how to pull into parking spaces.
I heard them talking about this on the radio one time and some people were saying that they did their very first driving in cemetaries. Their parents would take them to cemetaries to drive, because there are roads and not much traffic.
So, get the basics here and then go out into the residential streets.
Good luck.

Q: How do you get to Mokena, IL from either Peoria, IL or Chicago, IL, the cheapest way possible?
I'm on a shoestring budget but I recieved from a friend tickets to see a concert in Mokena, IL, and I will NOT skip this concert, consider who is playing. I do NOT own a car, and cannot drive.
Now, I'm in Peoria. I know I can get to either Midway or O'Hare airport cheaply from where I am, so getting a ride to Mokena by any means from Chicago is in question. However, a straight trip without transfers is GREATLY preferred. No method is preferred over the other, as long as it is reasonably cheap. Thank you.
Okay, so, this is my understanding.
I can take a trip from Bradley U to O'Hare for $35, then take the train for about $7. I'm willing to walk to the Pearl Room on foot. However, that's $84 in TOTAL once I go home. I mean, I can't stay in Mokena after the concert. I AM going to go to it regardless, but this is seriously a huge chunk of money for me when I work minimum wage and have rent and bills to pay... so does anyone know of any cheaper methods?
Okay. Amtrack is DEFINITELY the cheapest method, then taking a bus to Mokena from Chicago. Now I just have to find a cheap way to get to Bloomington from Peoria.
Thanks.
A: you could take Greyhound or Amtrak to Union Station then you go to the Lasalle st. station and take Metra to Mokena..
or just have a friend drive you to Mokena
Q: Can the police seize your car in arizona if drugs are found in it? I also need sources.?
I have a family member that was aressted for dui last night if they found drugs can they seize his car, this happend in peoria, az?
A: Yes they can - under RICO laws, they can seize the property then use it or sell it, the Funds are then given to the law Enforcement agencys involved. You can appeal to the Maricopia County attorneys office if the owner of the vehicle is unaware or had no way of knowing that the drugs were there. Otherwise the vehicle is gone. . By the way, the police can seize any property that is involved in the of drugs such as you house, land , boat or whatever
Q: my van was repossesd 05/19/05 bank doesn,t have paperwork for amount due yet. who determens the price? lot/ban
my van was repossesd on 05/19/06 my van had been in the shop for six weeks and had to pay that bill along with a rental for 6 wks. i called the bank (Chase) they dont have the paper work yet to tell me what i owe due i pay the total 7,000 or the 3 missed payments of 1,496? and is it the bank (Chase) or the car lot (Peoria Pontiac who determens the cost? Thank you for any help you can give. Would it help to call the car lot? Thanks lori
A: What a mess you have. I hope you either love the car a great deal and have money to resolve the issues, or really care little for the car or your credit rating.
I am answering as if the most recent date you have given 2006 is the correct one. If the correct date is actually 2005, then the bank should have come up with a final bill to be paid off in full for the full car loan and added expenses and fees, in addition to the car lot, would have likely filed a claim in court to collect from you.
They each have a claim against you. The mechanic for the work done, and agreed to. And the lender, Chase, for the amount of the car loan and all the interest due and the additional fees and expenses incurred due to repossession. It will take the bank a few days to compile all the info on your debt to them. You could pay them off, and the mechanic could still file a lien against you for the value of the repairs done, and repossess and sell the car to fulfill the debt you owe him.
Tough dilemma for you. I do wish you well.
