Q: i love classic muscle cars but at the same time i feel that global warming is more important.. what to do?
i own a few classic cars such as a 68 cougar and cameros. i love to restore them more then drive them i always had enjoyment fixing them up making hot rods.. but i feel giulty because they pump alot of crap into the air.. am i doing the right thing by owning them and using them as a hobby .doing the work then just parking them in my shed? one of my cars been sitting for five years.. its a real nice what your opinion?

A: I think you should give your cars to me. That way you wouldn't feel anymore guilt.

Q: lady tell me where in the park, car, restroom, movies?
where do you like to make love at ..... i like make love in the park i like when people see me tell what you like to do

A: This is a dumb question.. and go get your kicks somewhere else!

Q: Why do some people think it acceptable to park their car half on the road/ half on the grass verge outside?
your home when they can see you tend that bit of grass with tender loving care to keep your home looking tidy? Yes, my road is often busy with school parking, but they do it when there's nothing on the other side (yellow zig zags prohibiting parking) and even weekends when the road is totally clear! For Mata 123. What you on about? Yes I have a driveway and we have 3 cars! I'm tallking about spoiling what little bit of Council grass is left in the area. Who wants to live with an eyesore??

A: This is a VERY simple question and one that applies in MY road. Some people are sh1t people. Some aren't. Sh1t people park on the grass, the rest of us don't. I am absolutley AMAZED at the amount of people on here who think it is OK to park on the grass. I absolutely despair at the state of some grass verges which have become mud-baths because of these selfish ignorant plebs. I say I have an extensive knowledge of sh1t people (gained through 30 years in the Metropolitan Police). Now Yahoo! Answers is increasing it. I can add the people on here who have tried to justify their anti-social laziness to my list.

Q: Advice for an anxious dog. I take my dog to the dog park whenever I can and she loves it.?
Last week, two hot air balloons took off from the adjacent field. My poor baby she was scared to death, running back and forth, shaking like a leaf (as well as other dogs). I tried to call her to me, so I could comfort her, but she wouldn't come close to me. I finally got up and grabbed her to prevent her from running into the woods, as they rose above us. The whole time she was trying to pull away from me. A little while later, after they were out of sight, she became her normal ball retrieving self. Tonight as I went to the park, we saw a hot air balloon in the sky that just took off. She became an anxious mess again, shaking and wining as I drove. When we got to the park she was still anxious and kept looking up in the sky for the balloon. what can I do to make her less anxious? When we are in the car, what should I do to comfort her? If we are at the park and another ballon takes off should I keep her with me or let her run off (the park 4 is acres fenced)? Thanks

A: By acknowledging the behavior you are encouraging it. Simply stay calm and call her in a calm and soothing voice. Never allow your dog to run off regardless of whether or not the area is fenced. She could hurt herself or even another dog/person in her panic. If she is a small dog pick her up and hold her in your ams facing the balloons. If she is a larger dog kneel on the ground and restrain her by putting your arm around her neck. Be firm but gentle. Speak to her firmly and encourage her to watch the balloons. If she sees you have no fear of it she will follow your lead. Dogs identify the owners has the alpha dogs of their "pack". You need to show her there is nothing to fear. Perhaps you should take her to the field and encourage her to sniff and explore the balloons as they are lying on the field. Make sure you put her on a strong and long leash. Simply walk up to a balloon and begin to study it for about 10 minutes. Do not pull her her roughly to you. Talk to her calmly and firmly about the balloon. Do not get anxious and react to her fear. Stand close to the balloon and encourage her to come and explore it with you. If she seems extremely stressed walk slowly away from the balloon and reward her with praise and affection. Then return to your study of the balloon for about 5 minutes then walk away with out looking back. Continue doing this for about 15 minutes a day until she seems more confident around the balloons. Increase the amount of time "exploring" the balloons in 5 minute increments until she can watch them take off without fear. Always reward your dog with praise and affection. If your dog is anxious from simply riding in the car play classical music and consider investing in a crate for her. It will give you a safe place to put her to prevent her distracting you from driving safely. The most important thing to remember is to stay calm when you dog is anxious. Always speak in a calm soothing voice and encourage her to face her fears. I hope this helps.

Q: Are the characters from "Cars" around in the Disney parks to have their pic taken with me?
Okay, so I just saw the movie "cars" and I fell in love with Mater and Lightning McQueen. I don't see how they could be around the parks like other characters, because I mean they're like cars, right? But, you know how characters are around to have their picture taken with you or whatever, is it possible that mater and lightning are around? I don't mean at Disneyland, I mean at Disney World parks.

A: Went to MGM Studios last sunday and saw them twice. Disney is going to take EVERY opportunity to garner as much publicity as possible to draw crowds into the theater AND the Theme Parks. If you go, consult the cast members to find out the exact time and place they will appear. We saw them on Mickey Ave. and near the Lights!, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show

Q: Which area of Chicago is safer: hyde park or south loop?
I am looking at condos in the southside of Chicago since I'll be working at UIC in the fall. I will be living with a roommate and we both have our own cars but will rely on public transportation most of the time especially during the week for work. I love hyde park since it is so diverse but I also like sotuh loop since it is closer to everything. Thanks!

A: Both are relatively safe. If you're truly in Hyde Park (as opposed to the bordering areas) you'll be fine. The only downside is that you'd have to take the Green Line or the Red Line if you plan on taking the el and the areas where these train stops are are not so nice and you probably wouldn't want to be walking home at night from the train. Busses are also an option, but I don't think they are as convenient. Metra is a better option in Hyde Park but if you're going to UIC it's probably not ideal. So with that said, the South Loop is probably your best bet. It's more expensive than Hyde Park and if you go really far south (like past 20th) you'll again be on the Green Line in a sketchy area.

A: Perfect!

Q: Can anyone suggest an inexpensive place to park your car?
We need to park near the Carnival cruise ship departing dock in Miami Flordia and the parking facility for the cruise ship is charging $20.00 a day. That is a bit steep, and over our budget. We would love any suggestions.

A: Can you have someone drive you to the port and then come back and pick you up? If you are driving a long way, what about stopping a short ways from the pier and seeing if there are any long term parking garages that you can stay at (or a hotel that will allow you to park if you stay one night) and taking a shuttle to the pier. A taxi from Miami Airport to the pier is $24 plus tip (at least it was in June 2007 and February 29, 2008). There is also a free Metromover that might be helpful ... http://www.metro-dade.com/transit/metromover.asp http://www.metro-dade.com/transit/moverstations.asp

Q: Where can I park my car to view the fireworks taking place at Auditorium Shores (Austin)on 4th july?
I am new to USA and its my 1st Independence Day celebration here and would love to go see the fireworks near the lady bird lake. People who have been to watch the fireworks last year and earlier, can you suggest me how early I should be at the auditorium shores so could get a good place for the view and where could I park my car. I believe it all starts at 8pm. Any suggestions on what other events happening in Austin and where can I go during the day? Thank you.

A: far enough away from the fireworks so the fallout doesn't get on your car.

Q: Do you take your dog to a dog park?
What is everyone's views on taking your dog to a dog park? I got a load of negative thumbs for stating that a dog park is a great way to socialize a dog. My dog LOVES dog parks. It has made her love being in the car, which we (my family) all though would never happen! So for or against dog parks? Please elaborate.

A: Hmmm, you've just given me a new perspective, because I've never thought of the negatives of a dog park. However, I'm still all for taking my pup the park. Albeit I can understand some of the other answerers' concerns, I think that it is vital for dogs to get used to being around other dogs, because unless you live somewhere you are very secluded, they will encounter other dogs. Not just that, but like your dog, my dog love the dog park too! I think that while they're may be minor concerns or dangers to avoid, there are far more benefits to allowing our dogs the enjoyable experience. I mean, really, we stop don't sending our kids to school because of illness or bullies, we just take the proper precautions to help them stay safe. Of course not, because the benefits far out-weight the possible negatives. Same with our pups. Take them to the park so they can have the time of their life (at least mine sure does:) but always have your eye on them, be aware of dogs whose owners don't see to be watching them as closely, and watch for any signs of aggression from other dogs. Absolutey FOR dog parks! Happy Holidays!! *

Q: How much is it to make your cars finish like new?
I want to repaint my 02 nissan maxima se, love the car but its been driven alot on boston area highways meaning, the front end is chipped, almost like it was sandblasted, the doors have a few minor dings on them not a problem, and just a few other scratches.. I didnt mind it much till today someone ran into the side of my car in a parking lot and dragged their bumper along the entire length of the car, I buffed most of it out and luckily there is no dent.. just the surface looks worn, this finally got me thinking that its a good idea to repaint the entire car, keeping in mind there are minor rust patches (im talking 1-2MM's in diameter) in the front end chips, would these be a problem? I just want the cars surface to be like new again.. some basic service to restore its original beauty. I heard Maaco can do this for me.. any other suggestions for a reasonable price?

A: id check with a few good body shops before i went to Macao ,they do alright ,if your planning on getting rid of it,but some of their work doesn't hold up to well, they are cheap though about the cheapest ones around to paint the whole car,to give you a good idea of what a good job would cost for it,starting price on a good job should be around 800-1000 bucks for it,and that's using real good paint,a good job cost a lot, cheap ones look good for while and then dull out, think it over, and decide, good luck hope this helps.

Q: You can give examples of good places where you can park and make love in the car? and have privacy too?
I am searching for such a place and I couldn't find it. Anywhere I am scared that the police will come, or somebody else will see us. Don't tell me to do it at home, I can't. And please do not judge me. If you know an answer, I am glad to know it. If not, STFU!

Q: Is there an alcohol detox program in Loves Park, Illinois?
I’m looking for an alcohol detox program – and I prefer a place that is here in Loves Park, Illinois. My boyfriend, Matt, has an alcohol problem. It all started when his brother Joey passed away. Matt and Joey are very close – they’re partners in crime, they’re bestfriends, and they’re brothers. Joey died because of a car accident last March. Matt was supposed to pick up his brother from his dorm and drive him back home but he wasn’t able to do that because he had to play with his band at a local club. Joey came from a party and he drove his own car… well, drunk. He fell asleep while driving and he crashed into another car. Joey died during the accident and Matt never forgave himself for choosing a gig over his brother. Because of his guilt, Matt drowned himself in alcohol. After months of persuasion, I finally convinced him to undergo a detoxification program. Please help us.

A: I’m not sure if there is an alcohol detox program offered somewhere in Loves Park, Illinois but I found some websites that might help you find some rehabs or treatment centers all over the state of Illinois. I salute you for being a very supportive girlfriend to Matt.
