Q: What would be the reason that this physician´s office would be searched by the FBI?
Federal officials spent much of Tuesday taking documents from Bloomington offices belonging to Dr. Kamal Tiwari, a local anesthesiologist.
So far, no information has been released as to the reason for the investigation.
Around 8:30 a.m., Federal Bureau of Investigation agents swarmed Tiwari’s medical practice at 2920 McIntyre Drive. Uniformed Bloomington police officers were eventually posted outside the office, where they prevented anyone from entering. An FBI agent was also posted at a rear entrance to the medical office.
By Tuesday afternoon, a handwritten sign on the door said the office was closed and directed anyone who needed help to “go to the hospital.”
Bloomington police cars were also seen outside Tiwari’s Pain Management Center business office at 2400 Cota Drive. Throughout the morning and afternoon, a Budget moving van was loaded with several boxes taken from the building, while a uniformed Bloomington police officer stood nearby.
A: Breezer...
There are any number of reasons why this Dr. may be the target of an FBI investigation, because the agency is empowered by law to investigate alleged violations of ANY federal criminal statute.
It's possible, in addition to writing bogus prescriptions for federally controlled substances (mentioned above), that he had been submitting fraudulent billings for reimbursement under Medicaid or Medicare.
Finally, it is entirely possible that the FBI investigation involves alleged activities that have nothing whatsoever to do with his practice. It's possible the FBI has reason to believe that evidence of the illegal activity may be found in his office.
Bottom line: There is no telling what this doc allegedly did that brought the FBI to his office, based simply on the information in the story. Eventually, the charges will become public (if they are filed) and will no doubt be reported by the same paper. That's the only way you'll know for sure.
Q: Is this some kind of car scam i dont know about?
I was searching for a used car online and found a 2000 dodge intrepid from a dealership: royal chevrolet mazda in bloomington indiana for 995 dollars. it has 114,000 miles on it. This seems way to cheap, am i wrong?
A: Car dealers always advertise cars to bring you to the dealership. If you think you are going to walk in there with 1k and drive out in that car, you are mistaken. That car is the bait and they will likely tell you some story about that particular car and why you cannot purchase it when you get there (most of them will say it was sold already).
Legally can they do that? No! But they walk the "False Advertisement" line very well.
Q: Speeding in a school zone - Bloomington, IL - need help?
Before I begin let me say I have a clean driving record for over 15 years. I've been concerned with the traffic at the school and even wrote a complaint letter to the school about it with my concerns for the safety of the students.
Now, two months later I'm leaving the school after picking up my child. I stop at a stop sign. Then proceed to drive 0.2 miles to the next stop sign and turn left. A cop then pulls me over and tickets me for speeding 34 in a 20 - no children present on the road. He said he caught me on radar. I don't believe it as I don't believe I did this. If I honestly did do it I would just pay the fine - but I strongly believe if anyone was speeding it had to have been the car next to me.
Second... we just moved here and my child was in a seat belt but not in a booster (as according to IL law) - so another ticket.
What happens next? What are the fines? Points taken from my license? Any good but cheap attorneys? Advice? Help? Please and thank you.
A: A recent Associated Press article on child safety seats or child restraint systems (CRS) stated what a lot of parents already know – most people don’t know how to properly install them. It turns out that the LATCH system, which was created to simplify the CRS installation process, is no easier. For more information on child restraint systems, click on the link below.

as for points it depends on how fast you were going you can get up to 6 points...
I would suggest you call the court house and speak to the judge sec and ask her to give you some advice on what you can do and see how the tickets reads.. you may have to wright a letter asking for the points to be removed by taking the driver improvement class they offer . some times you have to have the judge to order this but you can request him to orderr it we did and he did and we took the class on line cost us 45.00 but we got no points also if the police offer doesnt show up for court they can throw the case out BUt dont pay the ticket till you talk to someone if you do it like admiting you did it and wasnt trying to correct it...
Q: I need to find a way to visit my girlfriend at Mizzou while I'm at Indiana University... what's the best way?
Neither of us have cars on campus so it would have to be by bus/train. She is at the Columbia campus and I am in Bloomington. Can someone please inform me on the best way to go from campus to campus? Thanks!
A: You could do greyhound or fly and use cabs.
Q: How much time should I give myself at the airports etc?
I plan to fly from Bloomington, Il to Atlanta Ga. on Sept 29th for a wedding. I have never flown before this, so how much time should I give myself to get thru the airport.
Also, when I get to Atlanta, do they have rent a car centers in the Airports, so I have some wheels to get going?
A: are you joking? Atlanta airport is a city in itself. there are buses that roll by the terminals to pick up people for each rental car place.
Id say get to the airport about 21/2 hours early maybe 3 since its your first time, but the longest part is usually checking baggage because some of the airlines understaff their counters.
Q: 2000 Ford Taurus drops and gains RPM quickly! PLEASE HELP! I'm clueless about cars.?
While sitting at a stop sign (in drive), waiting for the light to turn green, I noticed that my 2000 Taurus drops from about 1 RPM to below, and the catches itself and gains again. What is going on? It's like the car wants to stall, but than catches itself and fixes the problem. It's never done this before and it scares the crap out of me!
This might not be related, but it has had a tough time starting in the heat. It's never acted up before, so this is very uncharacteristic. Should I take it in?
Once we got going, the car was fine and I didn't hear any funny sounds. When I got to work, I pulled into a parking spot, stopped, but kept the car in drive. I still noticed the problem, but not quite as bad. When I put it in park, I barely notice it.
Help, I am so lost about cars, and don't want to take it in and get ripped off from a dealer.
Anyone in Bloomington/St. Louis Park area of the Twin Cities know of a good mechanic?
A: Change your PCV (cheap and easy), oil change needed? perhaps it may need a tune up. The AC can affect the RPM as well. Check the temp guage and even at least you might be able to adjust the idle with a screw driver near the throddle assembly.
Cheapest way is to read a little about your car in a Haynes manual, it covers little concerns like what you have and saves you trouble when telling a mechanic what may be wrong.
Sounds like an easy fix though, but find out soon, small problems become bigger problems.
Q: How much gas will it take approximately?
I have a Ford Explorer with a 22 gallon tank. gets about 18-20 MPG Highway. I live in Bloomington Illinois and want to go see my Sister in law who was recently in a bad car accident in Houston Texas. Any guess on about how much I will spend on gas to get there and to come home? I don't expect an exact number b/c obviously gas prices change as does the MPG on my truck depending on my speed ect.
A: The trip is about 1000 miles. Since gasoline in your area is about 2.90/gal right now, I'd get enough gasoline to get you to St. Louis, where it's only 2.65/gal right now. St. Louis has just about the cheapest gasoline in the nation right now, courtesy of the Wood River refinery. Gasoline for the remainder of your trip will be about 2.75/gal.
It'll take about 9 gallons of gasoline to get to the metro St. Louis area, at a cost of $26. A fillup in St. Louis will run you $58. You'll have to fill up again around Little Rock, which will cost you about $60. Next fillup will be just outside Houston, where you'll only need a few gallons to reach your destination, so let's say $20.
The total gasoline cost to get there will be about (estimating on the high side, could be less) $160-170 each way. This is following interstates 55, 40, 30, then US59 into Houston.
Q: What are some good used car websites?
well i live in bloomington illinois and i want to purchase a pt cruiser but i need to look around. is there any good websites that i can check out for used cars?
A: If you are interested in buying a car, but feel as though you simply do not have the money, a government car auction might be the best opportunity for you. You can find incredible deals, and it is not uncommon for people to save thousands of dollars. whether you’re in the market for a new automobile or not.
You’ll find that, at a government seized auto auction, there is a huge variety of automobiles available for you to bid on. The majority of vehicles at a government car auction have been repossessed from criminals or people who have failed to make payments on government loans. There are also government car auction vehicles that are "retired" police cruisers or other government vehicles that are no longer in service. You can usually find a wide range of makes and models,
Not many people know about government seized auto auctions, so there will not be a lot of competition for vehicles that you’re bidding on. There are so many different vehicles to choose from, you’re bound to find one that will become someone’s next dream car. Whether you want to buy a car to re-sell, or you’re looking for a car for yourself or a child, a government seized auto auction is the best place to look for an affordable used vehicle. Why waste time with a double-talking car dealer when you can go to a government seized auto auction, where you can buy a car 90% off Retail Value?
OK,You can check out http://www.purchaseusedcar.info/index.php?t=purused ,this site lists top 5 goverment car online auction sites for you to choose,It really is that easy.
