Q: is there a store in Savannah, Ga. that sell NASCAR toy car models?
I am looking to purchase NASCAR models in the 1:64 scale and need to know if there is an official NASCAR store that sell the real models, not the fake Walmart, etc. kind. I bought 2 while at Disney for $55 each. Can anyone assist who know of someplace like such close to Savannah, Ga.?

Q: My husband & I need to take a mini-vacation later this month. Can't decide: Savannah GA or St. Augustine FL?
We've never been to either. We could drive to Savannah GA (about 6 hours +/-) or fly to St. Augustine (another question within this question: is it closer to St. Augustine from Jacksonville FL airport or from Orlando FL?) In order for anyone to offer their best advice, here's what we like to do on vacation: 1) Relax by the pool with a good book in one hand and a drink in the other. 2) Stroll through the local town/city/village and window-shop at all the little boutiques. 3) Take horse-drawn carriage rides, as well as look at historical attractions nearby. 4) Eat long and leisurely at fine restaurants while rehashing our fun day together. 5) Stay up 'til the "wee" hours with romance abounding. 6) Sleep later than we normally do "in the real world!" So that's what we're looking for ... oh, and I almost forgot: We prefer an area where we can reach most places (shops, attractions, restaurants, etc.) by walking and just leave our car at the hotel most of the time.

A: To answer your question within a question first, St Augustine is only 40 miles from Jacksonville. But is 107miles from Orlando. So you would definitely fly into Jacksonville. But of these two places I would choose Savannah in a heartbeat. It fits your description far better than any Florida beach resort ever would. Right down to the horse-drawn carriage rides. Less crowded and the southern hospitality comes free. Savannah sets a very leisurely pace. You'll love it there. A: Yes, rent a car. That way, you can drive to the beach if you choose to. And, you can drive yourself anywhere in town. To me, it's more reliable than public transportation, and less expensive.

I have a black '03 Mazda 6 and want to get it repainted the same color with some nice high gloss to it. It needs no body work and is in VERY good condition, but has some scratches on the driver side door near the door handle and the bumper has a white scuff mark on it. I need a REALLY good job done for a reasonable price. I heard bad reviews about Maaco!!! Any other suggestions???

A: Well I have to agree with theleb63 not all paint is the same and you get what you pay for.I have worked with caliber collision for years now as a production manager and quality control manager.We don't have any shops out by you but there is a good shop called "Hernandez collision center" the are located in two different places Savannah,and Huntsville GA. the address for Savannah is 4337 Ogeechee road Savannah GA. phone#(912)238-0663 for hinesville its 1070 west Oglethorpe hwy hinesville GA. phone#(912)369-6398 both places use a garmat downdraft paint booth.These are very good booths.Also all there body men and painters are I-car certified.They have a web site you may want to look it up. Q: Going on a seven or eight hour trip to Savannah Georgia from jupiter. Any ideas on how to pass the time?
We're travelling by car, and I'm with my Girl scout troop. I'm not exactly positive on travelling time, so could anyone tell me the time from Jupiter, FLorida to Savannah? I think we're leaving at six or seven in the morning. I have a nintendo DS with Brain AGe2 on it, so maybe you could suggest some time consuming games.

How close is Savannah, Georgia to the beach/ocean? My family and I want to go there for a vacation but we want to be close to the beach. Do you have to go to one of the islands to be close to the beach (Tybee and St.Simons)? If so how do you get to those islands? By boat or is there a bridge of some sort to get to them by car? Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated.

A: It depends on where you stay. From the Southside, I can get to Tybee in about 30 minutes. Get there early or parking will be a nightmare this time of year. Savannah is not the beach. Savannah borders on the Savannah River. The islands border the beach. There is a bridge you go over,. No need to go by boat. If you want a boat ride, try one of the dolphin tours. They are great.
