A: Tropical storm (?? hurricane ) Fay is a slow moving storm that dumping excessive amounts of rain in it's path. As for the direct hit to Pensacola that is hard to say so farr. The tracking maps and models show 3 possible routes One goes into southern Georgia and Central Alabama. Another shows it moves into north east Florida and goes thru southern Georgia and southern Florida. And the 3 rd shows the storm heading along the Gulf Coast of the panhandle. Any of the routes could drop alot of rain on the coast and most ground routes to Pensacola.But if you want to go be careful and watch for the rain and storms.

Q: How can I get an auto repair shop to refund me money without going to court?
My car broke down in Pensacola, FL while I was on my way back to Hampton, VA. I called roadside assistance and was towed to an auto repair shop. They told me that I needed a master and slave cylinder for my clutch for a Pontiac Transam. I was told it would take 7 hours of labor. I was skeptical, but I went ahead and had them perform the repairs, because I had to get back to work and did not want to risk getting in trouble. Plus, I figured if I charged the amount, I could dispute later. Well, later I did dispute. I tried the Florida State Attorney General, they could not help me, so I tried the BBB. They told me that they could not arbitrate because the auto repair was not a member. So I am looking for a consumer advocacy group that will arbitrate my case. I am so disappointed in the system. I thought for sure that the Attorney General or BBB would help me.

A: Seven hours labor is an insane charge for this...BBB is a joke. I hate to say it but this will probably have to be chalked-up to one of those $hit eating life lessons. Not much help, I'm afraid, but trust me....a weird sort of karma does exist in automobile world. This shlep will get his one day. I've been associated with the auto & repair industry for thirty years and these @ss-holes are getting fewer and farther between every day. Just pray he screws up and pulls this stunt on a physco lawyer soon and watch what happens!

A: I visit every year to Gulf Shores the week after July 4th. Last week, the Blue Angels came flying in formation right above the West Beach Bld. towards Fl. What an awesome sight! I have never seen them fly so low before. I know that there are state parks around the area that have reasonable rates.

It's a creepy ass looking fenced in building now that's kinda big and last night there was a car parked there and some dem lights on and a dog in the fence. It's a big property and I heard that it used to be a hospital/church/school. The building is also on C and Gregory I seriously doubt its a car repair shop..that's the most extravagant car repair shop I've ever seen.

A: According to the records, there used to be some residential ownership there that was sold to BLOUNT REDEVELOPMENT LLC. The lots seemed to have been acquired over the years and then the whole area was sold for $400,000. This whole section was sold that is inside of C street, Chase, D Street and Gregory. I don't know of anything in particular there now but that downtown area is being built up to give Pensacola's downtown a great new look. My daughter just built a new home in the general area (a few blocks away)with some help from the City of Pensacola. So that will probably be built on soon. Sounded creepy though...I'll check it out the next time I head over to my daughter's house.

This book contains photos of cars. It may be Volume 5 as well. Only have been able to locate Volume 1 of the series. Probably published by Bayshore Publishing Group, Inc. some time from 1999 to present. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A: I did a search at Alibris.com and at BookFinder.com. Only Volume 1 turned up. I also did a Google search on Bayshore Publishing. At one time, the company was located at 111 Bayshore Drive in Pensacola. A search for that address shows that it is a single-family home that is for sale and currently empty. A yellow pages search for "Bayshore Publishing" in the state of Florida turned up no telephone listings. You can check with Alibris.com, Abebooks.com, Bookfinder.com, Booksense.com. Some of these sites have forums where you can post the names of books you want to find. Not only does this alert individuals that you want a book they may have, but it also alerts the individual used bookstores that are affiliated with these sites. You might try contacting the public library in Pensacola, and the Pensacola Historical Society. They may have copies of the book that you can purchase or they may know additional leads to help you track the book down. Good luck.

A: Found a good way-it's a site called uship.com bought a chopper and had it shipped from fl to ny for 300 bucks. What it is is you like the origin and destination and time frame. People will send you bids for taking you car. It's usually people moving, ebay car shippers, 18 wheelers, or race teams with an empty slot in their trailers. Make sure you make a lamens contracts, copy of insurance, driver's license, and any other paperwork you this valid. Pay on delivery. Good luck-remeber to vote for a best answer

Q: Any place to rent a car in pensacola that a 24 year old would not pay an age surcharge?
Most bigger company's have a 25 dollar surcharge for ADULTS under 25, nearly doubling the price. My girlfriends needs to rent a car for a week so a high surcharge is not an option. Would anybody happen to know of a smaller rent a car company in pensacola that does not apply this charge? Any help would be great!
