Q: Is it safe to leave my car at the Miami airport?
I will be gone for a week and a half and have no viable alternative other than leaving my car at one of the parking lots at or near the airport. My car is a 2009 mid size Sedan. I figure it should be safe but it is Miami.
A: Yes. Don't just leave it in the free parking lots. Leave it in one of those secured parking garages that the airport offers. You have to pay a fee to leave it parked there for a certain number of days. They usually have security guards around the parking garage so its safe. Also if something were to happen if you be their responsibility since you paid them to care for your car.
Q: Why do the police cars on CSI Miami have the real Miami Dade police number?
The producers of Bruce Almighty got in trouble for using a real number on the pager. This is for the police. People all over the country can make prank calls if they chose to.
A: I had no idea that they were using the real police number. Are you sure it's real? Did you try calling?
Perhaps they got permission BEFORE they put the number on the vehicles, if indeed the number is authentic.

A: try craigslist.com. It is not guaranteed that you will find a car that cheap but that is a good place to start.

A: Try going to a car auction. They have pretty cheap and reliable cars there. You can usually save a couple thousand by buying from a car auction. But, you should still always give any car you buy a good inspection before bidding on it.

A: Each rental car company has a different policy. The larger rental companies here are Alamo, Budget Rental Cars, Enterprise, Hertz, Avis . I'd google the website and see the rental car policies. I'm pretty sure anyone can rent as long as they have drivers license, credit card. They run the credit card for some extra money / authorization hold just in case you would have an accident. They release the authorized hold when you return the car but it takes a few days to post. Have a great time visiting U.S. and enjoy Miami
