Q: Florida law question?
What is the email for Bradenton police. I want to ask them if it's legal to drive an ATV on the road without a license because it's not really a car.

A: Under state law you can never drive an ATV on the highway. It is a moving violation civil in fraction. And to drive any motor vehicle on a road, you must have it registered and in the case of an ATV it is considered a motorcycle so you would need a drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement

Q: Cheapest laptop for Vista- STORES ONLY?
I'm looking for a store that would sell the cheapest laptop. I'm not going to have anything installed on the computer or get insurance or anything like that. What store has a good laptop deal? Normal price? Holiday sales price? Do you think I could transfer my internet connection to the laptop for free? Is there a router range you have to be in for the laptop to work? I want to be able to work in the car and also when I go from Bradenton to St.Pete. How much would that cost? Please give me a direct link. With my desktop, I have to restart the router because my icon usually has an X on it or a triangle with !. Will that happen with the laptop? Is there a way to restart it if I'm not home? How will I get my internet working again if I'm not home and I have to restart the router while I'm away? Why do I have to keep restarting the router?

A: You will have to look around for the cheapest prices. You can find a laptop for $300.00 but it won;t be much. You can connect to your present Internet connection. There is NO Charge if you are already paying for an Internet Service Provider. Most Router's are good up to 150 ft. Your problem will be that the computer you buy has a wireless card that will enable you to connect wireless, otherwise you will need to connect direct by ethernet cable direct to the router. To use your computer in a car you will need to connect via a cell phone connection and to do this you will need to contact your cell phone service for there options and costs to connect. Q: Garage sale unsuccessful?
I had a garage sale today and no one came. I put up signs a couple days before the sale on main streets where a lot of cars drive by. How can I advertise better? I don't want to put it in the paper because I'll have to pay for that. I want free advertisement. Are there any places in Bradenton,FL that advertise for free? I got kicked out by the manager by handing out fliers like this so I don't think putting it on stores would help. Where can I find and submit free paper ads?

Q: Cheap car rental in Florida.?
I am flying into Sarasota/Bradenton on Saturday July 21 and coming back the following Saturday. I want to rent a car at the airport for the whole week and I am getting prices that are kind of insane. Anybody know of anyway to get any cheaper rates...even priceline was denying every price I put in. Anybody have any coupon codes or anything!!!!

A: Rental charges have shot up in the past two years. Try Enterprise or Alamo. They are generally the lowest cost.

Q: What teen jobs (14 yrs) can i get?
The problem is i look like im 12 or 11 or somthing because im really short and knowone would want to hire someone that looks like a 5th grader. A: Babysitting and paper route. I used to mow lawns but almost everyone uses landscapers for that. I also used to shovel snow but in Florida that's not happening. Are you a good student? Maybe you could get paid to tutor others who are perhaps not so good.

I bought a few portable radios at CVS to take with me when I'm walking and riding in a car. They all had static when I tested them at my home and on the road. Is there a radio that won't have static or lose reception? Sometimes the radio goes off the air and I can't hear anything. I need a portable sized radio that works good. Is use of the 16 tennis courts free? Meaning can I just drive to GT Bray Park, park the car, and walk into a tennis court and play for as long as I want? Also, do i have to pay to get into GT Bray Park, like if its gated? And if the tennis courts are not public, then how much does a membership for unlimited use of the courts cost?

Q: It there an off season for travel to Florida?
I want to travel from Texas to Fla. to see my soon to be first Great Grandchild. It will probably be sometime in October. I have checked with travelosity, and others but it is not cheap. Am I planning to far in advance or is that just a high priced place to travel to....I am pricing with a car, hotel and flight. Is that the best way to do it? I want to be somewhere near Bradenton. What is the best airport to fly into and is one destination (airport near there) cheaper then the other? I want a nice hotel, near the the beach w/ microwave and fridge. Gonna stay 7 days. Any help would be appreciated.

A: Florida is currently in the off-season. Seems like your soon-to-be first Great Grandchild (congrats, by the way!) is due to be born during the peak season in Florida, which is October-ish to April-ish. Yes, flights and accommodations are pricier then (and none too cheap on off-season, either). Definitely use the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport (aiport code SRQ). It's West-Central Florida's nicest, easiest airport to navigate -- and it's mere minutes from Bradenton's and Sarasots's commercial areas. As for a nice hotel in Bradenton: Try the Holiday Inn at 6231 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota FL 34240. It's relatively new and clean!!! And it's about ten minutes from the airport. Q: How do I improve the MPG on a classic car?
If I have a 59 caddy, how would I improve the MPG? Could I make it 30 MPG if I pay some one to install something? What would I need to have installed, what would be the price, and where can I get it done in Bradenton, FL? Sources? What would be the highest MPG I could get it up to?

A: There is no way you could get 30MPG. It's an old and a very large car that weights a lot. Sorry

Are there any car dealerships in Bradenton, FL where I can buy classic cars? Isn't Stanley Steamer that carpet company? I'm looking for cars that were made in the golden era. 1959 caddy would be an example but I don't know the MPG. I know that classic cars have low MPG. What I want to know is which cassic car has the highest MPG.

A: Old cars like those routinely get less then 17mpg, but can be made to get excellent economy if you want to spend the money. I drove a 66 Mustang that would get up to 30mpg highway, a 71 Nova that would get 27 mpg highway. It took me 3000 dollars to get it that good. Worth it to you? It was to me becouse I drove these cars everywhere, and still don't like new cars that much. I wish I has one of them back now, becouse my truck is killing me. Too bad I need the damn thing for work.

A: HHO, "Oxyhydrogen", H2+02, hydrogen/oxygen mixture. Very, very volatile, highly explosive gas. Petrol is normally a liquid, so the explosion is never too big. HHO does not have that safeguard. Also, it takes a LOT of electricity to produce. The money lost on electricity is highly likely to negate the money saved on petrol.
