Q: Does anyone know any car rentals in modesto, ca?
Car rentals in modesto california that will rent cars out to 22 years or younger with cheap prices
A: You can just about forget even trying to rent from the major companies. They do their their best not to rent to young drivers. Some of them will rent you a car, but only at the last minute, when they see that they are going to have a lot of leftover cars. Others won't rent to anyone under 24.
But you can get a rental car through the smaller, independent companies. To search for cars near you, check out Car Rental Express, which serves as a clearinghouse for a number of different independent car rental agencies who deal with younger drivers. Just enter the city where you want to get the car. (If you have the choice, it may pay to try a couple of nearby cities, just to compare prices. But I have to warn you. "Cheap" and "22 year old driver" are two terms you will not find together in the car rental business.)

I hope this helps. Good luck!!
Q: Why is Modesto California the car theft capital of the nation?
A: The area houses a huge score of illegal immigrants, the area is also a drug supply vein and Modesto has geographically great potential for "chop shops" to set-up, operate and move quickly to a safer location.
Also demographically, the population of Modesto has an impressive number of affluent residents: The sweeter the car's ride is on the eyes, the sweeter it's a thief's prize.
Q: I want to have my car painted.I wouldlike to find prices online for Modesto, CA?
I have a 2005 PT Cruiser. I just want to change the color. There are no dents or bodywork
A: Good luck. If you want a quality paint job done you should meet the person who will be shooting it. Other wise Maco and Earl Shrives has a cheap price.

A: Being that you are 17 you can go through this program called Career Quest. It helps the ages of 17-21 to look for a Career not just a dead beat job. And the best part of it is that its FREE. They also have training that you can do. And through out the program they give you gift cards and stuff. Call 209.558.YOUTH and somebody can give you more info.
Q: How to get from San Francisco to Modesto?
Traveling w/o a car. What's the most convenient way to get there? Maps and directions appreciated. =) Thanks.
Sorry if questions wasn't clear guys, I appreciate the directions you've given me =) but I'm really looking for a way to get there by public transportation.
lol. i would've loved it if paying xtra for the bus driver would take me to mo-town. =P
A: The easiest/most direct way would be to take Amtrak... which has a a few stations in San Francisco and a station in Modesto.
You could probably also take BART to the end of the line, and I'm assuming there's some commuter bus from there to Modesto but... I don't know what it is.
Also, I have no idea about public transit once you're in Modesto, so...
The train is your best bet. Go here: http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Amtrak/HomePage
Q: est drive time by car from modesto ca to san deigo ca?
A: 7hrs.
Try to take I-5. The speed limit is higher. Also, if you drive at night, you might make it in less time. I live in Sacramento and I've made it to LA in 6 hr driving at night on 1-5. Careful in Bakersfield, there may be parts where there is no gas for like 37 miles, so just make sure you are good on gas & stop when you can. I hope his helps.

A: It is about 88.92 Miles and will take approximately 1 hour and 31 minutes
Q: isuzu car dealer in modesto ca.?
A: Isuzu has fewer dealers than they used to, but they are still in business selling and servicing SUVs. You don't need to go to an Isuzu commercial truck or Honda dealer for service. How long Isuzu will still be around is an open question on which I won't speculate. BTW, they haven't sold cars since the early '90's.
Here are two dealers from www.isuzu.com--the first is a "service only" dealer that doesn't currently sell vehicles; the second does both sales and service.

Q: Where is a good place to live if one has low vision and can no longer drive?
I am 45 yr old, single with Macular Degeneration. IT has progressed to the point where I no longer feel it is safe to a drive a car. I now depend on public transportation or my feet. I also need Voca Rehab since i no longer can preform my prev job duties. Honestly, I am going out my mind where I live now which is Modesto, Ca. Any advice I will appreciate. I have a counselor with Voca REhab here in Calif who is not doing her job and I feel that the rug has been pulled out from underneath me. I have talked to the comm of the blind in New Mexico and they seem to have their act together. I am thinking of moving to Sante Fe for Voca Rehab. Any input I will appreciate.
A: Sue,
The Modesto area surrounding Davis Community Park would be great for you to live in. Moving out of State will cost yo up to $15,000, so maybe staying in town would be more helpful. It is close to the following Opthalmologists, Shopping Malls, Grocery Stores, Libraries, and Colleges. The area along Hwy 99, or bounded by Tully Road, W. Biddsmore Ave, McHenry Ave, and Standiford/Sylvan Ave. is great for busing, and walking to all of these places. Good Luck.

Q: What is fastest car trip from San Francisco to Bodie State Park?
Via HWY 50 and down 395?

A: I did Via HWY 50 and down 395, i thought it was quicker, but the other ones could be quicker. look on google earth for help!

Q: Any one out there making it on minimum wage? Those who are barely scraping by how much do you make?
I want to try to move out but I don't know how much it takes to make it. I moved out for a year before but I kinda had it easy having the help of other people. I am in Modesto California and I know it is expensive but I want to move out in an apartment with no car. I don't smoke and I can live on top ramon I will work two jobs just wondering what kinda of hell anyone else had to endure to move out with only a highschool education?
Now that I think about it alot of people don't like to talk about how much they make so if you want to suggest how much it would take to make is fine
A: Get the Modesto Bee. Look at apartments. Figure you'll have to find a room-mate. Half of a two-bedroom apartment is usually less than all of a studio. Figure $100 a month for garbage, MID and gas, if the apartment uses gas for heating or cooking. Add in your telephone bill.
Make up a grocery list for a week, go to Richland or Foods 4 Less or Rayleys and look at prices. Don't forget toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste and hair gel. Don't buy anything, just add it up.
Cable TV, ISP, walking around money - add that up too.
Minimum wage is for teens living at home or waiters/waitresses who double it with tips. You can't live on it.
