Q: I Live in Glendale and Cars Have 2007 Registration Stickers?
I've noticed so many of these stickers and of course a certain people's that can get away with it. What gives. I pay mine on time always. Why aren't cops doing their job or enforecement??? How much is a ticket for NOT having a 2008 sticker?

A: In any jurisdiction, there are only so many police officers that can do so much. If they focus solely on car registrations, that would likely take away from enforcement of other (perhaps more serious) issues.

Q: How come you don't see classic cars anymore?
I live in Glendale California, where 100k cars are common. Amg's, bently's, m6's you name it, we have it. The thing i want to ask is where are the Camaro's or the Chevelle's or any other classic cars??!

A: oh there out there you just have to find them. ive got a 2006 f150 my wife pontiac sunfire. but in my garage i have a 1981 corvette. it only has 68,000 original miles on it. what i have learned about it is the more you drive it and put miles on it the more the value goes down. i love that car and its my favorite body style of all time , i feel like im driving the bat mobile, i believe chevy hit the nail dead on the head with this one. but like i said i rarely drive it and their are some times that i dont know why i have it. the only time i take it out is to lil get togethers at the sonic or the burger basket. but when i get to those shows its all worth it. people who own classic cars usually are not their daily drivers.

Q: How do you get from Lax to Glendale?
Hi, I was just wondering if there was anyway to get from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) through a shuttle or bus? If so, how much does it usually cost? I don't have a car and I'm really trying to avoid taking a Taxi. Thanks in advance for your responses.

A: I would suggest taking the "Flyaway" bus from LAX to Union Station in L.A., then Amtrak or Metrolink to Glendale. This is assumming that your arrival time will be during normal commuting hours. A taxi would be extremely expensive.

Q: I have a BUNCH of cars that need to be sold whats the best way to find buyers?
I have a lot of cars that im selling for 20-30% off market value but downside is i need cash for them. As for as the exotic ones I have im willing to go lower but finding buyers for those are even rarer! Ive been talking to junkyards but they wont give me a reasonable amount. Where can i find buyers either junkyards, individuals, ext. I'm Located in Glendale, Ca What im looking for is a specific community of car buyers.

A: Try Craigslist.com. Very simple to use and it's free.

Q: how long does it take to travel from glendale to chinatown LA?
By car? By tube? By bus?

A: By Car: Depending on where in Glendale (central vs. hills, etc.), but if you are near a freeway, should be about 10 minutes in good traffic. Just go south on either the 5 (or the 2 to the 5) to the 110 south and exit on Hill (left lane) and you're there. No tube (subway) in Glendale. By bus? Not sure, probably 45 minutes to an hour.

Q: is there an easy route to drive from LAX airport to Glendale?
me and my sis are hiring a car, ive never driven in USA before and have heard scary things about LA freeways!! especially 405! is there a calmer route to take ?even if it takes all day!?! we're staying in a place in N/Brand Blvd 91203 Glendale if that helps??!! really appreciate any help sent my way, Cheers

A: I'd take the I-105 east to the I-110 north. Take the I-110 north to State Highway 2 north. This should put you pretty close to Glendale. Check Mapquest or a similar program. I'm just saying this from memory.

Q: What can you tell me about a Rolls Royce Phantom limo?
On my way into work this morning, I saw a Rolls Royce Phantom limo on the freeway. I know the Phantom was produced in very limited numbers and costs hundreds of thousands, so I was surprised to see a limo version. I'm just curious if anyone knows how much this limo version would cost. Is this a specially customized version costing even more, or can any car cheaply be converted to a limo (I know we all see Hummer, Escalade limos etc)? I saw this car in Glendale, CA, on the 134 E transitioning to the 2. Does anyone know who might own this car? I know I'm asking a lot of different questions, but am just curious about whatever info might be out there. I took pics and 1 short video with my cell phone and will upload those and add a link as soon as I get home from work tonight.

Q: I just moved to Glendale and am wondering about parking...?
I live near the galleria and have to park on the street. Yet, the street signs say 2 hour city wide parking from 9am - 6pm. Where can I park on Saturday without moving my car or is there any way around this?

A: i live in glendale right now with my family nearby the glendale galleria and the way to park on saturday without moving your car is to park on the otherside of the block. for example, salem, elk, lexington, and more to add. if i were you, ill just look for the parking sign and see what other street nearby your location that dont offer two hour parking. the farther the glendale galleria, the lessen of 2 hours parking will be because of the shoppers who dont mind walking for few block toward the mall and very convience to them. best of all, there only few two hours parking street and that only nearby the glendale mall. hope this help? and good luck on finding the right spots you wanted :)

Q: In Glendale, Calif. Why are Cops Videotaping You Getting a TIcket?
I livin in a community of 300k armenians and the crime here is bad not to mention the driving they do--horrendous. Now, when the give people tickets, two cameramen get out of the police car and videotape you and take down every word you say while another police officer is writing a ticket? Is this unusual or what or is this person a suspect or something?

A: Be happy they do it. it keeps them honest.

I am from Australia and I never lived in the USA before. I dont know where in Glendale AZ will I be able to buy furniture / car etc ....

A: Make sure that when you find a home or apartment that you do so in the Northern section of Glendale. Though all of Glendale is nice the southern areas are older and have a tendency to have more crime. Arrowhead is a nice area, Bellair Country Club has some nice homes and north of that area is very nice. You could also live in north Peoria which is right next to Glendale and you will find nice homes. I live in the eastern part of Glendale, less than a mile from the Phoenix border and love my area of town. Everything you could possibly need t buy is in the Arrowhead Mall Area...automobile dealerships one mile to the west, furniture stores galore to the east and everything in between. How much time does it take from LA to Bakersfield by car? Its like from Glendale or Woodland hills or Rancho Cucamongo to Bakersfield. I really dont know. Could anyone help me? Most residents are using brand new European cars like Mercedes Benz and BMW. But, wait till they pay in the grocery or supermarket and you'll notice most of them are paying with food stamps. Isn't this odd? It is really annoying to see such activities. They are cheating the system.

100k cars pass by every second people get hit every day (literally)??? I was just wondering because glendale is crazy! i live here and think to myself this cant be normal...you have TEENAGERS (16,17,18) years olds driving S500's and S550's, Porche 911's, Carrera's, Ranger Rovers, Hummers, Escalades, AMG's, M3's, M5's, M6's, How in the world can any kid get that....or a parent be stupid enough to get thoes cars as a first car? Do you all see thoes cars everyday? or is it just Glendale? I meant, $100K cars!

A: The Palos Verdes Peninsula is the same way. I wonder the same thing, how do they get these super expensive cars at such a young age?

Q: Where r fun safe clean areas to live near Glendale California 4 a 22 yr old? What is Glendale like/GCC college
Im goin 2 school @ Glendale community college California. soon.Im movin w/ a trailor n lookin 4 a nice area 2 live either on a very safe senic trailor park or most likely I'll rent a room.Im a massage therapist and won't get a job untill i move 2 Cali. but I need to be close to this school or @ least another community college close to LA. I want to go to college for general studies, presue acting while practicing massge. I love the outdoors, (hikin,mts,parks,ocean) Is there any areas that are chill around LA that provides good music and fun, art, nice people, spas (4 work), good food and thats affordable? I'll have a car, about 5,000 bucks, and no job. I could afford the most 600$+utilities a month even if its just a room.I'd travel 40mins w/ traffic the most to a community college near LA. I know one girl that lives near La whos a friend of a friend shes 37 i'm 22 not only is she a little older, which can hinder our simularities but shes only one person. I'm desperate 4 advice thanku

A: Good luck in community college; make sure to take English classes; your spelling and grammar need a little work. You won't be able to afford to rent an apartment for your budget but you should be able to find a roommate situation. If you are going to Glendale Com College they have lots of bulletin boards of people looking for roommate situations that should be of use to you. Always helps to live with a student to help you stay focused on school work. Glendale is a nice area. Pasadena, Altadena, Arcadia (west end of San Gabriel Valley) is nearby and very close to San Gabriel Mts. with great hiking close by. You might want to try Craigslist or local papers as well as campus to find roommate situation. Good luck.
